Since moving to Seattle in 2001, Martha Carey’s intense
abstract oil paintings have been included in group shows
at ArtsWest, VAIN studios, Forgotten Works, Queen
Hotel studios, Patricia Cameron Gallery and the 2005
PONCHO fine art auction.
She had her first solo show at Gallery 6311 in 2003 and
her second solo show at that gallery in 2006. She is
currently represented by Oasis Art Gallery in Seattle.
Carey was born in Connecticut in 1966, earned her BA at
Carleton College, and earned her MA at Simmons
College. She has studied photography, drawing, and
design.
