"I used to keep a dream journal, it
spanned several years and many
notebooks. What I found after a time was
that I was too bored by my own writing to
reread any of it. My art is a better form of
journal keeping. My works are a more
truthful account of my progression. Each
of my pieces remains an intact record of
my dream-time, that I may contemplate at
my leisure. As time passes they move in
and out of prominence for my attentions. I
have always found that there are a great
many experiences that I have no words
for. My art fills the function neatly as my
record keeper and interpreter of those
experiences."
