Connecting past and present. Featured artist in the 'Natural Influence' exhibition.

Lisa JonesMoore is a graduate of Colorado State University, with a BFA in Fine Art and Graphic Design. After working as a designer in Denver, San Francisco and Seattle for over fifteen years, she decided to pursue her passion for painting, mixed media and collage.
Encaustic (beeswax) collage and found object assemblage has been a passionate pursuit for Lisa over the past six years, and "the scent of warm beeswax  is delicious…" She includes many items in her collages–such as fabric, digital photos from world travels, discarded tickets and papers, bottle caps, rusty nails, sand, old hardware and bones.
Lisa also loves making altered books and personal shrines, following the tradition of Mexican and Hispanic cultures. This is her way of connecting  with her personal history, her ancestors and other artists on a creative level. Lisa's works are part of private collections in the Northwest, Midwest and East coast of the United States. Her mixed media work has been published in Cloth•Paper•Scissors and Somerset Studio magazines. She currently resides and teaches art in the Seattle area.
