"Several years ago I started painting Madrona trees, in the Magnolia area. I painted roughly a hundred oil paintings of these exotic trees. Most of the paintings were done on location along Magnolia Boulevard. While painting I was conscripted into the volunteer group, Save Magnolia’s Madronas. So my connection with the trees has gone beyond just painting them. With these paintings, I have revisited this theme once again, painting on location along Magnolia Blvd." - David Harrison

 

David's paintings are in over 30 permanent collections, including: Elliot Bay Marina, Holland America, Olympic Racquet and Health Club, Virginia Mason Hospital, Xerox Corporation, Hotel Hilton in Chicago, and Nordstrom stores throughout the country.

 

He has shown at galleries throughout Seattle since 1981 and has received numerous awards at state wide watercolor and art shows.
