Carol Blackbird Edson's papercut art is a unique combination of a
freehand cutting with scissors style and her dreamlike images of
plants, animals and magical spirit folk. Using Kirigami, the
Japanese art of paper cutting, she evokes a feeling of harmony,
serenity and our interconnectedness with Nature. Viewers often
find they discover surprising images of their own imagining
hidden within the interplay of positive and negative shapes.
